Protest of the Bar Council forum with “Babi balik China”

“Babi balik China” & The disrupted Bar Council forum

While the Beijing Olympic Games started with a bang, our home country is shaken with the recent incident of the disrupted Bar Council forum. Again, the incident reflected the ugliness of how racist people in Malaysia used religion as a medium to provoke tention among the people. Malaysia is no longer a peaceful country and certainly not what the Malaysia tourism so proudly big-mouthed the slogan “Malaysia truly Asia”.

Worst still, there are more indications that PR is not ready to work out the common ground of their party’s ideology to rule the country. With the politician crossing over and zig-zaging here and there , from BN to PKR, PKR to BN… whatever it is, there are possibility that these people are just spies. Though PKR gained the people’s support since the GE 08, but there are also incidents that made us skeptical about their ability to reform our country. Pakatan Rakyat need to clean up the closet and be extra cautious to the negative report that involve the party’s leaders. For instance, PKR Kulim-Bandar Baharu MP Zulkifli Noordin’s involvement in the protest at the bar council forum illustrated, the indecent performer at the petrol hike protest, the incident of PKR guards hit a female reporter illustrated the Malay proverb “Sebab nila setitik, rosak susu sebelanga”. These negative happenings will certainly decrease the confidence of the people towards Pakatan Rakyat to form government.

Meanwhile, according to Malaysiakini, Datuk Sharizat who lost to Nurul Izzah in the GE 08 declared JIHAD to prevent opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim returning to Parliament in a by-election this month. Why use such a strong word that is so sensational that carry the message of religion element in it? Religion never promotes war… it is the people who use religion to promote violence. Right now, we won’t know if DS Anwar Ibrahim will lead us to destruction but to be fair, BN is really leading the nation up……sidedown. Other than that, everything seems to be up,up and up. Besides Datuk Sharizat, I found Muhammad Muhd Taib post in his blog entry “BN boleh menang dengan syarat”amusing…

I don’t agree with his point of view. The people of Permatang Pauh as well as the rest of the Malaysian have the right to decide the future of Malaysia. I believe it will be a worthy 10 days of sacrifices for the sake of the future of Malaysia. Whatever happens in a couple of months will affect each and everyone of us here in Malaysia. I just hope that the politicians will learn a thing or two from the Olympians…
